This picture was also taken at Chinatown just in front of a jazz music club. The form of music, is probably the most famous and evident medium of globalization. The picture symbolizes the fusion between the western culture and it’s jazz music and how globalization has occurred in today’s society so easily and that finding a jazz club in Chinatown, the heart of Chinese culture is now a norm. The pictures speaks a thousand words when it comes to how far and rapid globalization is occurring in today’s world where Chinatown, the place you expect to be the very heart and soul of the Chinese culture in Singapore is actually host to many western music clubs and how well these two different cultures come together.

This photo taken is of an Indian temple at Pagoda Street also known as Chinatown. This photo shows another form of globalization, that being through religion. Religion especially Hinduism in this case brings about a huge sense of culture with it, besides the teachings. It is a form of cultural globalization as in the case of Hinduism, a lot of the Indian culture is bred into the religion and in this special case of the photo, it can be seen that the two main Cultures of Singapore are inbred in the photo with the temple being placed in Chinatown, which is the heart of the Chinese culture in Singapore which is why the picture is rather significant.

This photo was taken at the F1 track down at the Marina Barrage in light of the upcoming Singapore F1 Grand Prix. The photo symbolizes what Globalization is all about. The garage who’s top is headed with the name “McLaren” which is a British car company, it is surrounded by locals and the most eye catching one is the man wearing the shirt with the words “Bloco Singapura” which is a music band that plays fusion music covering different types of music from all over the world. This epitomizes the very definition of “Globalization” showing how music on a whole is such an easy medium for globalization to occur and how it influences people all around the world. Along with the F1 which is motor racing sport, both music and sport are the easiest mediums in which globalization occurs and this picture easily displays the ease in which globalization is occurring in our very own land, Singapore.

This photo was taken at a local shopping mall in Tampines. This photo shows a shopping selling Japanese sake and wine, and glass ware. This picture symbolizes the effect of Globalization on Singaporeans in terms of their everyday living. Japanese culture has been so widespread in Singapore that more and more locals are now appreciating an practicing Japanese culture in terms of dining and food. This caused the increase in demand of Japan-exported products which led to the setting up of this store. This shows how Globalization of other countries' culture has affected Singaporeans even in their everyday lifestyle, and that they are beginning to embrace cultures from other countries in terms of food and beverage, that they are able to so easily access it even in their local shopping malls today.

This photo was yet another photo taken at a local shopping mall, and shows an outlet of Dorothy Perkins, a British women's clothing retailer, in the shopping mall. This photo symbolizes the effect of Globalization on our local culture in terms of fashion. The opening of such outlets retailing clothes originated from other countries even in our local shopping malls show that Singaporeans no longer wear clothes of our own ethnic cultures but are wearing clothes that are of cultures from other countries, such as America and the United Kingdom. This shows that our local culture and fashion has been shaped by Globalization, by the widespread of cultures from other countries, to the extent that such clothing can already be so accessible even in our own local shopping malls.
